I recall our neighbor had inquired of ideas for a wedding gift for us and we suggested one of her paintings. She was flattered and asked if we had one in mind. However, when we told her which one she didn’t feel it was good enough and started telling us about things that were ‘wrong’ about it. But, we truly loved this particular one (the others were lovely too, but this one spoke to us).
Sadly, approximately 15 years ago, she was diagnosed with an in-operable brain tumor and resides in a special care residence.
I miss those days with the sound of the splash and yelp as her skinny- dipping husband hit the cold water of the pool. I miss hearing her 'growl 'at her dog Muffy, whom she lovingly called ‘piss pot’.
Because of you, we have spring all year. Thank you Joyce.

The crows/ravens in the painting remind me of the crew that were out picking and gathering along the driveway with new vigor the last few days.. finally the snow has melted enough for them to get a grasp of a few morsels... they are starting there nests now... Lovely painting!
...such a shame about Your neighbor... we never know what is waiting for us tomorrow.. enjoy everyday...
