A Fall Day adventure with Pup Pup 2012

Pup Pup steps out the door,

'Ahh' what a beautiful day for a drive"

 

"Wait, that skunk was back last night".

 

"I love playing in the leaves,

maybe I will...........

play with these interesting balls

that mommy is trying to photograph

before the sun hits...oh too late".

 

Back from my drive.

Mommy drove me to the Dollar Store,

where I got her to buy these rats..

and this hand.

 

Well,

I think I will head inside but first, I want

to show you my new haircut

Mommy took me to the beauty parlor



Sherry was very nice to me. 

 

I am so proud

to be Canadian. 

 

 





The Mom Song with lyrics

A post on my facebook this morning:

Outing

I started driving and it looked like the above,

see the fog way in the back? 

Well, 

I came across a bridge built in 1931 and below were these fellows playing 

 Oh YES, I traveled through MOOSE country. 

This was marking the house number.

That night it rained ALL night

and through the day...

Love, Respect, and all that comes with it.

 

 

 

 

I have just worked a 13.5 hour day,

with only 9.5 hours between it

and my previous 10 hour shift.

 

The bath water is how I like it - hot.

I lie back and pick up

the current Avon booklet.

I finished Butterbox Babies

by Bette L. Cahill last night.

I wanted something light.

 

I hear my cell in my Office

"Your Daughter is attempting

to reach you on your

cellular device".

 

I quickly grab the towel,

trip over the dog,

and slide into my Office.

 

I am so fortunate that

my girl knows that she can

reach out anytime,

even at 12:30 in the morning,

just to talk things out.

 

She is doing great at University,

loving being away

from the Community in which she grew up -

you know, the small town - nothing here,

but the people.  She loves people.

 

However, she has a heavy

course load - aiming to become

an Anthropologist

with a minor in Archeology.

And she became involved

with the Theatre Group.

 

Well, for one of her courses

she has required 'volunteer' time

of no less than 15 hours in this semester,

and Theatre has 15 hours practice a week,

along with learning the lines

to Gut Girls.

 

Add to that the study,

research, and papers due,

maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

And with everything else,

 living in Residence

where some folks have yet to learn

that they are there

 to LEARN.

 

She was feeling a bit

overwhelmed by it all.

Don't we all sometimes, right?

 

So, we chatted for an hour,

well, I mostly listened.

She had called to ask my opinion,

 to 'bounce' some thoughts,

and to de-stress a bit. 

 

I am feeling so .....

thankful? Yes

lucky?  Yes

fortunate? Yes

blessed? Yes

respected? Yes

needed? Yes

appreciated? Yes

proud? Yes

tearful? Yes

 

 

We love you baby girl!   And we can't

and won't ever, be able to tell you enough

how much we love you and how proud we

are of you no matter what!!!!

A day out

After a morning at the local market,

 

and a quick stop on the lawn,

we enjoyed a visit in the yard.

 

The Grapevines have overtaken an old fence and grew into the tree.

 

Fall in the Maritimes.  





One room that says so much if one takes the time

 

 

Black Rose was home for a visit last weekend.

So, it was one of those "mom" moments ,

you know them....

"The local charity is doing a pick-up,

so let's go through your room

anything you don't want,

don't like,

doesn't fit',

won't fit,

just plain YUCK,

goes into the bags".

 

Somewhere

I have a photo of her not much

past this age lying on her 'new' bed,

which is her current bed.

There's a story there for another day.

 

 

A glimpse of the child she was

the beautiful young lady she has become

through my lense today.

She would sit for hours and read

Sportin' new jewellery

 

 

Well, it's not my Birthday,

nor my anniversary.

But I am sporting some new

jewellery.

 

Not what you're thinking though.

 

Nope.

 

Here I am at the local Tim Hortons

getting my Large Strawberry/Banana smoothie with yogurt.

 

 

Because you see, that's about all I can handle right now.

I tried eating wonton soup, but just landed

up with most of it dribbled down my chin.

 

Here we are visiting some nice folks

like Pauline, Jessica, Christine and Nancy.  

I had a toothache on Saturday that had gotten worse by Sunday.

So, I went to the After Hours Clinc nearby.

I got a prescription for an abcessed tooth.

And, like a good girl,

started it right away.

Well, 2 days later, I walked into my

Doctor's Office as soon as they opened.

And, although I already have chubby cheeks and a couple of chins,

didn't really need to tell her I was having issues.

She sent me directly from her Office to the Hospital

to begin medication by IV right away.

I have been going every 8 hours for 2 days.

Tonight, well tomorrow at 12:01 is my last one.

 

Then, Friday, I head back to see her

in hopes of getting additional medication.

Friday next, it's off to the Dentist to have

this tooth removed.

I should look GREAT for Halloween don't you think?
