Easter Weekend - Maple Syrup & Geocaching

We hiked by one sugar camp operation to get to where we wanted to go.

 
 

 

3 Generations of Trites' have operated this Sugar Camp

We watched these kids playing, then he watched us.

 

 

The way it was.

In addition to being able to tramp around the forest and look at the operation that makes maple sugar and maple syrup, you can  have all the pancakes and syrup we could eat in the rustic restaurant.  We just ate
off of the sticks

Then, we headed back to the car and to some Geocahing and a quick stop at the Spring for some water.

Motherhood

Even though sometimes it feels they could consume you. 

 

Search for and hold onto your true self.

If you lose that, what kind of mother can you be?

 

Things are always changing, no matter how

much we might want them to remain the same. 

 

 

You could take a photo of your kids every

single day,

and every single day they would just be growing older.

That's a fact.

A heartbreaking fact, but still a fact.

 

 

 

So, seize the days and dwell in them fully.

Look to your children for they know

how to inhabit brief moments of

extreme passion.

And for nothing more really than the sake of those moments.

They can help us remember that,

if only we would slow down and let them'.

 

Soon enough they will have Graduated,

gone off to University, gotten married, and

moved far enough from home that we don't

see them nearly as often as we would like.

Sometimes one can live just up

the street,

and still we can't see enough of them.
