I wish I had carried my camera to work with me tonight....the sky is like a false sunrise. As I round Cox's turn, the trees frame the glow of the city . The orange of the city lights reflecting back from the low cloud cover is beautiful - breathtaking really. I truly feel as though I am meeting a new day rather than leaving one behind.
Oh to have an artist's hand to put this sight to canvas. But, I shall have to commit it to memory as an artist I am not.
Even as I continue driving, with a hint of rain in the air, I pass a home with a spotlight shining so that the kids can slide down the hillside. Oh to be young again to embark on a such an adventure into the darkness below.
I am reminded of how I learned to skate on the crust of the snows cape at my grandparents home (not far from where I live now).
By morning it will all be slush and water as the temperatures rise overnight. But oh what a joy to see such a sight as I head off to work.
