She did it! Black Rose wrote her Beginners this week and did GREAT! Congratulations! Now, to get some driving time in for the next 'leg' of this adventure. She and I have been out a few times and she's doing GREAT! Wahooo...meep meep.
Black Rose's dream car is a MACH 1 (1971-73). She has had her eyes (for 8+ years) on a 'run down', rusted, sitting there for years MACH1. We drive by it each time we come and go to the 'cottage' (as my Seaside Friend has loveingly named it). We even stopped a few years back to see if he would consider selling it as is where is. Black Rose could offer it to the 'Shop Boys' as a project in order to assist them get their grades and in turn, she would have a car with all of the responsibilities that come along with it.
The gentleman said he was going to fix it it. Right! It's still sitting in the same place without anyone to love it. It's too bad really that we let such things just rot in the ground. Not that we have much money, but one might be surprised the compassion one might feel knowing this young teen has been watching this car for YEARS. I was going to include a photo of it in it's current shape, but wouldn't ya just know it - we went to the Cottage another way. I will post one for you next week.

Congratulations! However, I remember when our two started driving..... I was a wee bit nervous for awhile, but actually it didn't last long..... their driving skills gave me confidence in them..... I'm hoping Black Rose will do the same for you....
