Cashew Cutie "CC"

I had made the comment that people don't like rats because of their tail and how it would be interesting to have one that has no tail. Rats regulate their tempature through their tails as well as use them to help with balance.
We rescued this little girl from being fed to snakes. She had no tail and we sometimes wondered if she was blind in one eye. She was more like a kangaroo in that she seemed to hop instead of run. But hop she did and quickly!! She (unlike our other rat) loved the water.
We named her Cashew Cutie, "CC" for short, because of her color and because she's a cutie. RIP 'little one' 11/29/09

Thank you Gwen, as will those that you loved. Thank you to Max for introducing us to these critters as pets....we apprecaite the time we had with CC and continue to enjoy Ollie. One can now more fully understand and appreciate how you can get so attatched to a critter that most people either fear or think they hate. RIP each of our friends - Hazel, Almond, Missy and CC.
