One such find was this. What do you think it is? I find it to be a bit quirky but I like it.
It’s a coffee perk. I like that it has a personality and not just ‘silver’ like you would expect. Here are pictures of a teapot (sidebar) that we had given Patty to add to her Teapot Collection (see Wilson’s Disease in the blog archive-February).
This brings me to ask you – have you visited Gwen’s site Desideratum? You really should. She and hubby make jewellery (plus more) and one pair of earrings is a coffee pot and tea cup as in ‘coffee or tea’ (I have a pair and love them!). She just introduced their latest earrings which is a book and a coffee mug. I am picking mine up in a week or so. Check them out – there’s a link to your right.
Well, I must get back to it – I truly think we all should consider convincing ourselves that we are selling the house about every six (6) months. But then, I like a little mystery in my life -as long as it’s not scurrying. (This coming from a person whose teen has a pet rat).

Hmm the little tea pot that so fit Patty's personality
That and the teddy bear that is up stairs are the very few things left of her that we can truely "see" (other then the picutres). Somedays we would wish we could erase, but somehow we can not replace. What ever we feel inside and we know this can never die...
Yes I agree... the surprises in those cupboards.. and the stuff we save... we should all move every 5 years whether we need to or not...
Those tea cups are beautiful and also the elephant set.. how unusual... What a keepsake!
Thanks for mentioning me, my dear!! you are always too kind! The bright coffee perk is sweet!! great photos!!! and you're funny too!!
Black Rose - so true on all counts. Patty, like Great-Grammie Ione, was a very special person. Such people don't come into our lives every day. We must appreciate them when they are here and remember them when they are gone. I love that you appreciate people and know that you miss them.
I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too,
I think of you in silence I often speak your name
All I have are memories and your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake with which I’ll never part
God has you in His keeping I have you in my heart. (unknown)
Gwen, Good morning! Congratulations to Max on his award! We are blessed.
The teapot, as Black Rose said, was so like Patty. She collected Teapots and when we saw this one - we knew. We are fortunate to have it back with us and it will soon be in it's 'new home' display. That is, once I find the table and such again.
Oh Gwen you are too kind. I enjoy visiting your site and check it daily - others may not be so fortunate to know about...so why not tell them? Thank you for the compliments.
What ever happend to the rest of Patty's things (her tea pots and such) anyway?
