Heart Lodge

Hubby took me on a lunch date to Hearst Lodge -they will shuttle you
up to the Lodge or you can walk/hike.
We went just for lunch and a relaxing afternoon.
But if you decide to stay a night or two:
The Hearst Lodge will be your home base, living like American newspaper magnate, William Randolph Hearst and friends did, more than 50 years ago.

Live like American newspaper billionaire William Randolph Hearst when you stay at Hearst Lodge – a mix of rustic luxury and fabulous food near the world-famous Bay of Fundy, swim in one of the 22 salmon pools to be found along the stretch of river that leads to the lodge.

Anyone know what this was?

This fellow watched us watching him for a long time.

Then we returned from our walk along the River to sit a spell.
But if you choose to stay the night:
Dinner includes Bay of Fundy salmon served with seasonal vegetables, homemade rolls and dessert with local berries. After dinner, relax in the lodge living room and enjoy a fireside chat with your hosts. Wake up to a hearty breakfast of fresh eggs, bacon, homemade toast, pancakes and juice.
I can tell you Laura & George are great hosts and Laura is a terrific chef,

Please visit the Fundy Trail's Heart Lodge  site
for more information including a short video of the area.

Lunch Reservation for 1? Just for fun.

 The View
The Waiter- he just needs a white napkin right?
Asks the visiting Guest if he requires reservations for 1.

Sorry, you will need to wait until the next seating. And,
it was for 1 right?

                  Lunch was served

Dessert was wonderful.

We sat and watched this fellow for awhile as he had lunch.
Such a simple thing, but we took the time to sit.
Have you 'just sat' lately?

Capturing the Bay by Zip line

Black Rose got to do something today that she has never done!  What a time!  I think she had fun don't you? We attended a Geocaching event wherein we have to travel to 4 of the local parks (national and private) and find the caches within each and then have our 'passport' stamped and we receive a special 'coin'.  Black Rose went as a Geocacher but also as the representative for the Park at which she works and was given the opportunity to go Zip Lining!  It was a beautiful day - one of the best out that way so we were told as it's often much cooler and windy, but a LOVELY stop if you are on a Fundy Coast Drive.

This fellow is another cacher and showes you the height and the views she would have seen.  He used a cell to take these photos.      http://youtu.be/cHdcoqRQiEc

Heres' a video that shows the area http://youtu.be/Cz6BDfe1NvI

A Daughter Like You

You bring me joy,
each and every day.
Whenever I think,
or look at you,
I know I'm blessed.
You're very special,
thoughtful and caring.
You're always determined,
to achieve what's in your mind.
Always thinking of others,
you're actions are always kind.

To have a daughter like you,
was my ultimate dream.

I love you.

**Some photos have been removed whereas I don't like to post ones of  'Black Rose' for too long for security reasons.  Thanks for understanding.**

Don't walk behind me; I may not lead.
Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow.
Just walk beside me and be my friend.
