Black Rose has a 'Gwen' Moment

My dear friend Gwen and her family are terrific artists and Black Rose saw this and claimed she had a 'Gwen Moment'.   Hang on folks, once complete we will show the 'after photos'.   She's terribly busy right now though, so it maybe awhile. 

Home Town goes Hawaiian

Recently it was Community Days in my home town and there were many activities....story time for the kids, parade, chilli contest, Lions Pancake Breakfast, Yard sales  and much more. Even Lego Sam's Lego Train Show was in town.  

Here's a photo that appeared in the local paper of a fellow we know as he competes in the lawn tractor race during Community Days activities on Saturday. Competitors raced around the course one at a time for the fastest time.

Whew, I almost had a photo of me in there too!  I can just make out where I was standing when this photo was taken (don't tell Black Rose, but I can see her legs).   Hello everyone!  Congratulations young silly man in the Hawaiian get up!!!  Way to tear up the track.   

And of course there were photo & sketching competitions as well..............Black Rose won a few ribbons. Unfortunately another that I wanted to show you isn't here. I will have to take a photo of that sketch another time. 

She won with this photo too..................I like it too.
