A Day at the SPA

A Day at the SPA
it wasn't but it might as well have been.

I spent a few hours at Hearst Lodge,
located within the Fundy Trail Parkway .

This is Black Rose's "Office view" every day this summer.
I, for one, am jealous.

Hearst Lodge

Laura stops to rest after the lunch rush.

My Brother was home from Kentucky last week
and the family came to visit.
Together we traveled by shuttle truck
to the Hearst Lodge for lunch and relaxation.
None of them had been here before and I only once.

But yesterday was 'my day'.
 I walked/wadded
the Salmon River then I sat down with my feet
in the River to read
one of Faye Kellerman's novels as others
swam in the salmon pool nearby with the fish.
.
Thank you Laura, George & Black Rose
for the wonderful lunch
and time to enjoy the calm.

It's not raining!

I have been on a week's vacation and it has only rained
ONE Day!  Well, a few times during the overnight hours,
but ONE daytime rain.

WOW, I NEVER get all nice weather,
I hardly get nice weather.

We even broke the record from 1900's
for heat here where I am.

So, now it's a matter
of
am I hot because it's hot outside?

OR

Am I hot because I am hot?

Either way, I am prepared.

Ha Ha Ha.
'til next time.

Beaver Harbour/Black's Harbour

Well, it only took us 2 days to get to Beaver Harbour.  It was only 99 kms away
from our starting point.   But we had a great time,  we enjoyed our
side-bar visits to St. George (Lake Utopia) and St. Andrews.
Thank you to those that enabled us to do that!!

We met some interesting folks while touring that part of the Province, some of which met us at the door.

We found Beaver Harbour and were met there by the hightide. So, we explored down the way a bit in Black's Harbour and waited for the tides to turn.
Harbour Seals at play.
SeaGulls fighting of the 'post'.

When we thought enough time had passed, we headed back to Beaver Harbour.

We travelled a total of 463 Km (instead of the 198 we had planned) over the 2 days and much enjoyed each other's company, seeing the coast from another location, gathering glass, geo-caching and visiting.

Thanks again Sue for inviting us to stay. It allowed us to visit Minister's Island (because of the tide schedule we had missed it the first day) and to enjoy the extra leisure for travel time.

This time next year, Black Rose will be in University so this road-trip was extra
special for me.  Thank again everyone for sharing.
