A few years back.
Our 16 year old Niece was taken for an x-ray on Saturday
after telling her parents of pain in her leg.
On Wednesday, we received this information -
presently in surgery having her biopsy done.
She should be back in her room in the next half hour and once she is feeling up to it, she will be released from hospital for the time being.
One more test tomorrow, a bone scan and then she will have a few days doctor and hospital free
On Thursday, we had this update

The bone scans have been completed...now we wait.
Once the specific type of cancer is determined, a treatment plan can be developed.

She and her parents met with part of Gillian's medical team yesterday afternoon.
Gillian has osteosarcoma which is an aggressive form of bone cancer.
The cancer has also found its way into her lungs.
She will begin chemotherapy this week as soon as a few more baseline tests have been done.

I am asking you to keep she and her family in your thoughts,
hearts and prayers.
Recently taken during one of many dance competitions.
Thank you.
