"New and exciting things" belonging to Black Rose - Chapter 2 Move in

Well Saturday came with a 'whoosh' as we
made our way to University.

Upon arrival, Black Rose headed to the
registration area and obtained her key and did her room inspection.
She then comes back to the car with...
let me count....
1,2,3,4 other University folks.

They proceed to the car and one
grabs the fridge and off he goes.
The others,  they each grab and go.
One is telling Black Rose that she has the
best view in the place!
It was his room previously, so he
knows where he's going.

So, up we go lugging 'stuff'
up the stairs, around the corner,
up the stairs, around the corner,
up the stairs - Yep 3 flights.
Down a looooooong corridor (still lugging)
and stop in front of a door with her name on it!

We made it!! LOL
Ahh but the heat when the door is opened - oh my!
27.8 on the wall with no air movement,
but hey, it's a special day.

In less than 2 hours we had unpacked and put things away.
Of course, she will move things around (not that there's much room for that),
and make it 'her own'.  She still has her Rose to put up and a
few others 'photos'.

She has a desk and such as well,

but this will give you an idea that it's her room. LOL

She also has her own bathroom,

Sorry the photos didn't turn out well,
with the sun coming in the large window
and the darker light of the bathroom...

I shall try to do better going forward.

All of the black bedding and such look so pretty, I love black too! Does she have to share her room? My Ginny's was pretty small and she had to share, very close quarters!!
This brings back memories of that day, so busy, students running around everywhere! And then of coarse my tears when we left!!
I hope she settles in well and if she does have a roommate that she is a good one! I'll be interested in hearing more. Love Di ♥

Thank you ladies. Black Rose received a call back in ohh March or April advising 2 single rooms had become available. So after a family discussion regarding the price difference we told her to go for it. When she's studying she wants quiet, peace and space. Not thinking she'll get a lot of the first 2, but.....

I didn't cry when we left her last week, but I may when I leave this week. I am headed for a visit and to bring a few things she hadn't had room for in the car - laundy hamper, etc.

Stay tuned and thanks for sharing.

Oh Shelly, exciting to be in University and yet to have her away from home. My first year away from home was in a room not much smaller than hers. Thanks for your kind words over at my blog. It meant a lot to me. Take care for now. hugs.
