Bamford Colpitts Bridge/Pioneer Cemetery

Black Rose and I headed to Albert County on Friday evening (June 6) to explore a Covered Bridge and Pioneer Cemetery.         This bridge was built in the 1870's making it one of the oldest in N.B. It is on private property and closed to traffic, however used for farm operations.

The Bridge used to look like this a few years ago.

Recently it had a re-fit. There are advertisements still on the interior boards (See the side bar).

We parked on this side of the Bridge and hiked up the hill to the cemetery and the monument

Checked out Pioeneer Cemetery # 1 and headed back to the car as the sun was beginning to set.
Please see the side bar for additional photos taken on this 'walk' in history.

What a lovely trip Shelly. I will be posting some photos of our day trip last week. I took to many photos to post all at once!
The covered bridge reminded me of "Bridges of Madison County".
